The Town and Village of Pittsford invite the community to gather for a special America 250 celebration at the E Pluribus Unum Community Picnic on Sunday, June 28, from 12:00pm to 2:00pm, under the pavilion at the Spiegel Community Center, 35 Lincoln Avenue.

Join friends and neighbors for an afternoon celebrating the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and the rich traditions that connect our community. The event will feature a reading of the Declaration of Independence by local elected officials and a community sing-along of familiar patriotic songs. Guests are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch and enjoy this festive gathering.

As part of the celebration, community members are invited to share a favorite family recipe for inclusion in the Pittsford E Pluribus Unum Community Cookbook, a commemorative collection being created in honor of America 250. Recipes may reflect a long-standing family tradition, a holiday favorite, or a dish that celebrates your cultural heritage.

Bring a copy of your recipe to the picnic or submit it in advance online, by mail, or by dropping it off at Pittsford Village Hall, 21 North Main Street, Pittsford, NY 14534. Please include your name and address with your submission. Recipes will be accepted throughout the summer, and the cookbook will be available this fall.
