Due to the COVID-19 restrictions put in place by the State earlier this week, Candlelight Night has been canceled. It was a tough decision to make, but we all need to do our part to minimize the risk of spreading COVID-19.
We will livestream the lighting of the trees, one at 5:00 p.m, and one at 6:00 p.m. to help keep the spirit of the holidays alive.
There still will be several businesses and restaurants open that evening for your enjoyment. We will be posting a list of those businesses who will be open to do your Holiday shopping and dining!
Every December Pittsford celebrates its annual, traditional Candlelight Night. Pittsford’s Village streets are filled with holiday cheer, the sounds of live music, carolers and sleigh bells. Holiday lights twinkle in the night as businesses light their candles to signify the start of the holiday season. It is the perfect night for shopping, dining at our local establishments, or the food trucks around the Village, or enjoying holiday treats provided by area businesses! Many merchants offer special sale items. There are also holiday craft activities around the Village and book sale at the Library. Visit the Kid Zone at Northfield Commons.
A Pittsford tradition, Candlelight Night provides an evening of fun for the whole family. There are two tree lightings, sightings of Santa, Mrs. Claus, and The Grinch. You can have your photo taken with the live reindeer and their sleigh! FREE horse-drawn wagon rides between the center of the village and the canal will run between 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. There is also a shuttle bus, provide by The Highlands, that will pick you up at Sutherland High School, and drop you off in the center of the Village. South Main Street will close from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. to allow pedestrian-friendly traffic.
Adding to the fun and excitement, is the Annual Pub Crawl that starts at 7:15 p.m. for our 21 and over crowd. Purchase a wristband at the Chamber tent (or the participating venues) which will give you discounts on food or beverage at the participating establishments. Proceeds from the sale of wristbands will benefit The Pittsford Food Cupboard.
A tradition for over 40 years, this is an event you DON’T want to miss!
