Howard Maffucci

Howard Maffucci represents the 10th Legislative District, which includes a majority of the Town of Pittsford, and a portion of the Village of East Rochester and the Town of Brighton. He is a member of the Environment and Public Works Committee, the Audit Committee, Ranking Member of the Ways and Means Committee, and a member of the Veteran Service Agency Advisory Board and the Broadband Task Force.

Howard has been an active part of the community for more than 40 years, raising two kids in Pittsford with his wife, Tina, a former elementary school teacher. Deeply involved in the local educational system, Howard was a teacher and coach in Pittsford beginning in 1974, continued his career as an administrator in 1988, and eventually rose to become Superintendent of Schools for the East Rochester School District from 1996 to 2010. He currently serves as a negotiator for the School Administrators Association of New York State.

Beyond his duties as a Monroe County Legislator, Howard continues to be actively involved in the community. He was a member of the Capital Campaign Steering Committee for the new Southeast YMCA, is a member of the Rochester Coalition for Public Education, the University of Rochester George Eastman Circle and Warner School of Education’s Center for Learning in the Digital Age (LiDA) Strategic Planning Group, and serves as the Treasurer of the Genesee Valley Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development. He is the President-elect of the Pittsford Rotary.

Howard currently lives in Pittsford, where he and his wife Tina, have lived since 1978. Their children, Amy and Steven, are now raising families of their own, giving Howard and Tina endless joy with their three grandkids.
