Town Supervisor Candidate Forum

Details

  •  October 5, 2026
     7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Positively Pittsford is pleased to confirm the date for our Candidate Forum for the Town Supervisor’s election. It will take place on Monday, October 5 at 7:00PM, a date both candidates confirmed they could make.

Thanks to Pittsford resident and long-time news anchor Don Alhart, who will moderate the forum. Questions won’t be shared in advance with the candidates. We want residents to hear candidates respond in their own words, with answers that are unscripted and spontaneous.

Supervisor Smith has accepted our invitation to participate. Max Gordon has declined at this time; our invitation to him remains open. In any event, we’re pleased to give residents the opportunity to hear from at least one of the candidates for Supervisor – live, in-person and unrehearsed, responding to questions from the community. You can submit questions in advance directly to Don Alhart at donalhart@gmail.com.  Be sure to include your name and street address.

Positively Pittsford’s volunteer team and readership includes Democrats, Republicans, and Unaffiliated voters and our forum-organizing committee, three people, consists of one of each.  Any of our volunteers, like all residents, can have their own opinions and may have expressed support for candidates of all offices in past elections. Those are their personal views. Positively Pittsford is non-partisan. What matters is that our forum is fair, consistent, and the rules apply equally to each candidate.

The Candidate Forum is an excellent way to inform residents and raise awareness of issues that affect the town we love. Mark your calendars for Monday, October 5 at 7:00 PM. Watch our next update for the location.
